Honda Vietnam holds tree planting festival in Ha Nam Province

On January 13, 2024, HVN, also known as Honda Vietnam Company, hosted an event called "Honda Tree Planting Day - For a Greener Vietnam" in Ha Nam province. This event was part of HVN's efforts to contribute to Carbon Neutrality by 2050, aligning with the shared objectives of Honda Motor and the Vietnamese Government.

HVN has partnered with the People’s Committee of Ha Nam province to carry out tree planting activities covering a total area of 15.46 hectares at two locations in Ha Nam province: T1 road and the forest area in Thanh Liem district. This initiative involved planting a total of 10,050 trees of various types.

During the ceremony on the morning of January 13, 2024, Mr. Koji Sugita – General Director of HVN, along with approximately 160 Honda employees, 120 representatives from departments and agencies of Ha Nam province, and a large number of local people, joined forces to plant around 2,900 trees (equivalent to 4.46 hectares) along T1 road.

Meanwhile, Ms. Do Thu Hoang – First Deputy General Director of Honda Vietnam Company, awarded a commemorative plaque to the representatives of the Ha Nam Provincial People’s Committee at the forest area in Thanh Liem district. This gesture was a token of appreciation for the approximately 7,150 trees (equivalent to 11 hectares) that HVN has planted in January 2024.

With the proactive participation of all stakeholders and a strong commitment to environmental action, HVN firmly believes that this initiative will set a precedent, fostering greater awareness of environmental protection among employees, local residents, and the broader community.
