The car license plate auction took place yesterday, on February 2, 2024, and was organized by a Vietnamese auction company. They offered thousands of beautiful license plates, and the highest bid reached nearly 1.3 billion VND. The highest bid was for a license plate from Vinh Phuc province.
In particular, during the 30-minute auction, the license plate number 88A-666.68 was bid up to 1.265 billion VND by a wealthy individual. With the winning bid amount, many people might consider buying a brand new Toyota Camry 2.0Q.
According to regulations, the winner of the car license plate auction will have to pay the full winning bid amount within 15 days from the date of the announcement of the results. This amount will be deducted from the deposit (40 million VND), but it does not include the vehicle registration fee.
Afterwards, the winner will have 12 months to register this license plate for their car. If the deadline is missed, this beautiful license plate will be transferred to the registration and vehicle management system, and the winner will not be refunded the bid amount already paid.
