In the middle of last year, Galaxy, a subsidiary of the Geel conglomerate, officially launched the L6 sedan in the Chinese market. There are even reports that Geely will soon bring the Galaxy L6 to Vietnam for official distribution.

Recently, the Chinese automaker refreshed the image of the Galaxy L6 with a new color “red star”. This idea was introduced to celebrate the Year of the Dragon, the symbol of luck and power for the people of China, and also to provide new options for users.

Aside from the new paint color, the Geely Galaxy L6 Dragon Edition has no other changes compared to the previous model.

The Geely Galaxy L6 is positioned as a compact sedan with prices ranging from 115,800 Chinese yuan to 149,800 Chinese yuan, equivalent to 377 million VND to 488 million VND. The car is based on the e-CMA architecture and will be equipped with the Thor Electric Hybrid 8848 plug-in hybrid system.

The front of the new car features a closed grille design, divided light clusters, and continuous light strips, giving it a more avant-garde look. The addition of vertical headlights on both sides also enhances the visual hierarchy of the car. Of course, the new brand logo shape also adds a fresh visual touch.

From the side, the new car has a fastback shape and is equipped with hidden door handles and low-profile wheels. In terms of body size, the length, width, and height are 4782/1875/1489mm, the wheelbase is 2752mm, and the coefficient of drag is 0.26Cd. At the rear, the addition of the translucent taillights and the large-size diffuser shape not only enhance the visual hierarchy but also significantly improve the sporty atmosphere.

Inside, the car adopts a wrap-around cockpit design, a narrow 10.25-inch LCD screen, and a 13.2-inch vertical center control screen, giving it a tech-savvy feel. The Geely Galaxy L6 will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and the Galaxy N operating system.

It will also be the first car to feature Geely Map and support traffic light countdown reminders. In addition, the new car will feature an AI creative-wow wallpaper and voice interaction outside the car based on AI smart language search tools.

Notably, the seats in the new car feature a soft 270° surround design, combined with a dual-view panoramic roof, a 256-color interior ambient light system, an intelligent fragrance system, and a personalized cockpit configuration, providing a comfortable driving experience. In terms of configuration, the Galaxy L6 offers 50W wireless charging for mobile phones, independent two-zone smart air conditioning, global OTA upgrades, mobile app remote control, intelligent voice interaction with dual-tone color zone, and L2 driving level support.

The power system of the Galaxy L6 will come from a hybrid powertrain consisting of a gasoline engine and dual electric motors P1+P2 and a 3-speed DHT Pro gearbox. The 1.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine in the Geely Galaxy L6 will produce a maximum power of 163 horsepower and a peak torque of 225 Nm, while the electric motor will produce a maximum power of 145 horsepower and a peak torque of 338 Nm.

Therefore, the comprehensive maximum power of this hybrid system will reach 390 horsepower and the peak torque will be 535 Nm. The Geely Galaxy L6 takes 6.3 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, has an all-electric range of 125 km according to the Chinese CLTC test cycle, fuel consumption of 4.55 liters/100 km, and a total operating range of 1,370 km.
