The latest, Youtube channel Digimods DESIGN has released a series of design sketches for the 2025 Kia Sportage based on the style of the newly launched Sorento facelift model. The digital artists at Digimods DESIGN borrowed the headlight and taillight design from the Sorento and adjusted them to fit the smaller size and design characteristics of the Sportage.
Currently, there have been no leaked images of the test prototype of the 2025 Kia Sportage, so it is unclear how accurate Digimods DESIGN’s sketches are. However, I am particularly impressed with this new design for the Sportage: bold, muscular, dynamic, and modern. This design style is very suitable for the tastes of young people.
According to Korean media, the prototype of the Kia Sportage Facelift has been tested at the Hyundai-Kia R&D center, and the first disguised prototypes will hit the streets in early 2024. It is likely that the car will receive some exterior design tweaks, giving it a fresh and eye-catching new look.
Regarding the powertrain, we do not expect the Kia Sportage Facelift to undergo significant changes compared to the current version. Instead, there will be small adjustments to improve engine efficiency, along with battery upgrades to increase the electric range for PHEV variants.
As for the interior, looking at the recently launched Sorento and Carnival, it is possible that Kia will apply a similar curved screen system to the Sportage Facelift, along with the latest technology and safety features.
The new steering wheel inspired by the EV9, the pair of curved 12.3-inch screens with the cNCC entertainment system and other features will be added to the Sportage Facelift.
There is currently no information about the release date of the Sportage Facelift, but the car is expected to debut in late 2024 in South Korea.
