VinFast announces its participation in the 2024 Indonesia International Auto Show (IIMS) from February 15th to February 25th, 2024. This event not only marks the brand’s debut in Indonesia but also represents a significant step in its global expansion strategy.

During IIMS 2024, VinFast will showcase a range of electric vehicles across different segments. This is also the first time VinFast introduces right-hand-drive electric car models to the international market, affirming its strong commitment to making electric cars more accessible to everyone.

VinFast’s exhibition booth will be open to visitors from 5:00 PM (local time) on February 15th, 2024, until February 25th, 2024. On the same day, the brand launch event will take place at 2:00 PM in Exhibition Booth A6, Hall A, Jakarta International Expo.

With its official entry into the Indonesian market, VinFast aims to introduce more exciting green mobility options to local customers. In addition to a diverse product lineup that meets the transportation needs and financial capabilities of different customer groups, the company will focus on providing outstanding after-sales services and flexible sales policies to bring VinFast electric cars closer to people’s homes in Indonesia.

Mr. Tran Quoc Huy, General Director of VinFast Indonesia, shared: “VinFast is honored to debut its brand in the Indonesian market through IIMS 2024. We aim to offer local customers more environmentally friendly mobility options along with our commitment to accompany them throughout their electric vehicle ownership journey. We hope to inspire people to explore the unlimited potential of modern and sustainable living.”

With a population of over 250 million, Indonesia is not only the largest economy in Southeast Asia but also one of the largest automotive markets in the region. With a strong trend towards electrification of transportation and a series of government support policies for the electric vehicle industry, Indonesia will be a key market in VinFast’s development strategy.

In addition to being a key market, Indonesia will also be an important link in VinFast’s global electric vehicle supply chain. The company has announced its investment in building a manufacturing plant with an annual capacity of up to 50,000 electric cars. When operational, VinFast’s plant in Indonesia will not only meet the local market demand but also enhance the company’s supply chain and competitive capabilities in the global market.
