Todd Moriarty from Michigan, USA, always tries to save every penny despite having a stable income job.
Thanks to his ability to preserve belongings, he can always sell his old stuff at a high price.
For example, he wraps his entire house, including furniture and his Honda Civic, with cling wrap.
He even uses expired food, washes dishes and clothes with shower water, and stores clothes in the freezer to eliminate bacteria without washing them. To dry his clothes, he hangs them at the back of his car so they can air dry.
By tightening every dollar in his expenses, he only has to spend $4,500 USD ($110 million VND) each month on electricity and living expenses.
Todd Moriarty’s ex-wife said that he spends most of his free time thinking about how to maximize savings and reduce living costs.
When buying things, he meticulously weighs, measures, and counts, only purchasing them if he feels it’s a good deal.
Despite receiving criticism for living too frugally, Moriarty is satisfied and feels like “a king.”
