This is the second Dodge SRT Viper ACR in Vietnam, but it is the first car of the latest and last 5th generation of the Viper series.
The Dodge SRT Viper ACR featured in this article was imported by a private owner in April 2022. Despite having been in the country for nearly two years, it is rare for car enthusiasts to have the opportunity to see this supercar on the streets.
As of now, this is the second Dodge Viper ACR in the S-shaped land, but it is the first of the 5th generation. It is worth noting that the Dodge SRT Viper ACR mentioned in the article is the last generation Viper ACR produced before it was discontinued in 2017.
The car belongs to the special Snakeskin ACR Edition limited to 31 units worldwide. The 5th generation Dodge SRT Viper ACR, the first in the S-shaped land, impresses with its Snakeskin Green exterior color, combined with dual black stripes extending from the hood to the tail, giving it a strong racing vibe.
The car is equipped with dark-colored multi-spoke wheels, 19 inches in front and 20 inches in the rear. It also comes with Brembo carbon ceramic brakes with 391mm discs and 6-piston calipers at the front, and 360mm discs and 4-piston calipers at the rear.
Furthermore, the front bumper is equipped with carbon fiber canards to optimize aerodynamics. The reinforced lip in the front is made of two steel bars. The front fenders feature large air vents to dissipate heat from the brakes.
At the rear, the Dodge SRT Viper ACR is equipped with LED taillights and a rear diffuser, a large fixed wing made of carbon fiber. Overall, the aerodynamic body kit helps generate up to 776 kg of downforce on the road. Additionally, the car is equipped with the Extreme Aero package with several removable components.
Inside the cabin, the Dodge SRT Viper ACR features leather and Alcantara upholstery with some carbon fiber accents to reduce weight. The “venomous snake” is equipped with an 8.4-inch central touchscreen entertainment system. The steering wheel integrates convenient buttons while the car uses mechanical brakes.
Powering the Dodge SRT Viper ACR is a 8.4L V10 engine which does not use forced induction, but can deliver a maximum power of 645 horsepower and a torque of 813 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed Tremec TR6060 manual transmission, which improves torsional stiffness by 50% compared to the 4th generation Dodge Viper ACR. With these specifications, the Dodge SRT Viper ACR can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds before reaching a top speed of 332 km/h.
In addition, the Dodge SRT Viper ACR is equipped with Bilstein suspension system, which allows users to choose from 10 different driving modes depending on their preferences; 15-inch Carbon Ceramic Matrix brakes; third-generation traction control mode for improved performance in rainy weather; and more.
