An additional Ferrari 296 GTS convertible supercar has officially been registered in Vietnam at the end of January 2024.
It is known that this car belongs to a tycoon in Ho Chi Minh City. Previously, the car had a temporary license plate with the number “T60-345.67.”
This second Ferrari 296 GTS convertible does not feature the same red exterior as the first one to arrive in Vietnam. Its exterior is painted in a deep blue color, accompanied by some black details as accents. The car is also equipped with double-spoke wheels, distinguishing it from the first model.
The Ferrari 296 GTS inherits the power of the Ferrari 296 GTB supercar but has the advantage of a roof that can be easily opened or closed within 14 seconds. The process of opening/closing the roof of the Ferrari 296 GTS, newly introduced in Ho Chi Minh City, is convenient as the Italian automaker has integrated a roof open/close button into the central control panel, along with the correct operation of the small window up/down.
Powering the Ferrari 296 GTS is a plug-in hybrid powertrain, consisting of a twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine, generating 663 horsepower, and an additional electric motor supplying 164 horsepower. The total output reaches 818 horsepower and a torque of 740 Nm. With this power, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 330 km/h.
