On January 31st, Vietnam Auction Joint Stock Company (VPA) continued to hold an auction for 10,000 vehicle license plates.
However, on the morning of January 31st, only 27 license plates were successfully auctioned, achieving a rate of 0.54% out of a total of 5,000 plates. Notably, two license plates were sold for billions of dong, significantly higher compared to recent auction days.
In particular, the “lucky” license plate 51K-868.68 from Ho Chi Minh City reached the highest bid of 2.57 billion dong. Following that is the “lucky” license plate 51K-777.79 with a bid of 1.085 billion dong.
Besides these two beautiful license plates, there were also several other plates that fetched high prices such as: 30K-655.55 (605 million dong); 30K-585.55 (180 million dong); 60K-345.68 (145 million dong); 30K-585.58 and 30K-528.88 (135 million dong)…
According to regulations, starting from December 16th, the second auction session will begin with a bidding time of only 30 minutes per license plate (instead of 60 minutes as before).
Participants can use their phone numbers to register an account for bidding, and they can also use both their ID number and tax code for businesses.
Additionally, when the registration deadline is reached and there is only one eligible bidder, the license plate will be transferred to that person.
