Recently, billionaire Hoang Kim Khanh has shared a series of photos on social media, recalling his visit to the Koenigsegg factory in Sweden.
This tycoon also revealed that the maintenance and repairs of his Regera cost nearly $365,627 (over 8.9 billion VND).
It can be seen that the Koenigsegg Regera has been checked and repaired for 620 items. The beauty industry businessman also mentioned that his million-dollar masterpiece has been updated with the latest technologies from Koenigsegg.
In addition to maintaining the car, billionaire Hoang Kim Khanh also had the opportunity to meet Christian von Koenigsegg (Founder and CEO of Koenigsegg). During the meeting, the company also hung the Vietnamese flag to welcome the couple of businessman Hoang Kim Khanh.
Arriving in Vietnam from early 2022, Hoang Kim Khanh’s Koenigsegg Regera has only appeared three times. The first time, the car was brought to Da Nang. Then, Can Tho was the next place the car was seen driving.
The third time was during the Hanoi – Quang Ninh – Hai Duong trip organized by billionaire Hoang Kim Khanh in June 2022. Since then, the car has not reappeared on the streets. It is known that the reason is because the million-dollar Koenigsegg Regera was damaged while traveling on the Hanoi – Hai Phong expressway.
Afterwards, Koenigsegg’s team came to Vietnam for repairs and troubleshooting. However, due to insufficient equipment, this tycoon had to bring the car back to the company’s factory in Cambodia. Then the car was transported to Thailand by road, and from there it was transported back to Sweden.
It is known that Regera is a rare masterpiece, with only 80 units produced worldwide. In order to have a license plate and drive in Vietnam, it is estimated that the owner has to spend between 120 – 250 billion VND.
Under the hood of the car is a twin-turbocharged 5.0L V8 engine, generating 1,100 horsepower. Combined with 3 electric motors, the total output is increased to 1,500 horsepower. Thanks to this, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, with a top speed of up to 400 km/h.
In addition to its powerful performance, the Koenigsegg Regera also has an impressive and distinctive design, with its iconic 180° scissor doors. This feature is what distinguishes the Regera from other supercars. Furthermore, the Regera is a car that does not use a traditional gearbox. The car’s transmission system is based on a direct drive structure called Direct Drive, which reduces energy loss by 50% compared to conventional gearboxes.
