Suzuki Jimny is one of the most popular SUVs that car modifiers especially favor due to its rugged appearance. Recently, a car modification company in India has introduced a new product specifically for this SUV model, focusing on improving its off-road capabilities.
The appearance of the Suzuki Jimny becomes more rugged thanks to the installation of 15-inch off-road tires, accompanied by uniquely designed studs. To match these tires, the suspension system has been significantly raised, increasing the ground clearance by 30 cm (originally 21 cm). The SUV also features more angular wheel arches, highlighting its sporty nature. In addition, the Suzuki-branded SUV is equipped with snorkels to enhance its water-wading capabilities.
The standard Suzuki Jimny comes with a naturally aspirated K15B petrol engine with a displacement of 1.5 liters, generating 103 horsepower and a maximum torque of 134 Nm. This engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission. However, this special edition has undergone modifications by the engineers to increase its power output to 120 horsepower and 170 Nm. The power is distributed to all four wheels through Suzuki’s special ALLGRIP PRO 4×4 drivetrain, which includes a low-range transfer case and a differential lock. With the increased ground clearance of 30 cm, the SUV impresses with approach, departure, and ramp breakover angles of 36°, 24°, and 50°, respectively.
In terms of pricing, the 5-door Suzuki Jimny is reasonably priced in India, ranging from 1,274 to 1,505 million Rupees, equivalent to approximately 362 to 427 million VND. The price of this modified version has not been disclosed yet, but it is expected to be quite high due to the engine performance upgrades.
