Toyota Vietnam officially announced the recall of the “Front Shock Absorber Nut Tightening” on the Veloz, Avanza, and Yaris Cross models on January 19th.

At the same time, the company also implemented a customer satisfaction program “Replace the Dust Cover for the Front Suspension Strut on the Imported Veloz, Avanza, and Raize models.”

This program demonstrates Toyota’s commitment to the interests of customers – those who have always loved and trusted Toyota products in Vietnam.

The program will be officially implemented by Toyota Vietnam from January 19, 2024, at all Toyota dealerships nationwide. The specific list and number of affected vehicles in Vietnam are as follows:

Recall program “Front Shock Absorber Nut Tightening” on the Veloz, Avanza, and Yaris Cross models

The front shock absorber of the affected vehicles uses a nut to attach to the car. Due to design issues, the tightening force of the shock absorber nut may be insufficient. During use, the shock absorber nut may loosen, causing abnormal noise. In the worst case, the shock absorber nut may fall off, making the vehicle unstable during use.

Customers with affected vehicles will receive notifications from Toyota dealerships to bring their vehicles for inspection. Based on the inspection results, customers’ vehicles will be fastened with the shock absorber nut. The estimated inspection and repair/replacement time is about 0.5 to 2.5 hours per vehicle.

Customer satisfaction program “Replace the Dust Cover for the Front Suspension Strut on the Imported Veloz, Avanza, and Raize models.”

The front suspension strut is equipped with a dust cover to prevent dust and water from entering. During the assembly of the front suspension strut assembly, the assembly tool may come into contact with the dust cover, causing damage to the dust cover. If water infiltrates the dust cover and causes leakage, the brake assembly may corrode prematurely.

Customers with affected vehicles will receive notifications from Toyota dealerships to bring their vehicles for inspection. Based on the inspection results, customers’ vehicles will have the dust cover for the front suspension strut replaced. The estimated inspection and repair/replacement time is about 1.3 to 2.4 hours per vehicle.

Toyota Vietnam recommends that customers who own vehicles affected by these two programs quickly bring their vehicles to Toyota dealerships nationwide for free inspection and replacement.

To save waiting time, customers can proactively contact Toyota dealerships to schedule an appointment before bringing their vehicles for inspection. Toyota Vietnam looks forward to receiving understanding and positive cooperation from customers to quickly and successfully implement the program.
