The Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster from 1997, previously owned by former President Donald Trump, was sold for an astonishing $1.1 million in the recent Barrett-Jackson auction.

Lamborghini produced only 132 Diablo VT Roadster cars for the US market from 1997 to 1999, and Donald Trump’s car is one of a kind. As it was a 1997 model, it is the only car finished in the Blu Le Mans exterior paint color, thanks to Donald Trump’s special relationship with Lamborghini at that time. In 2002, the former President said goodbye to this special Lamborghini Diablo.

In the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, this 1997 Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster was sold for an astonishing $1.1 million, nearly double the price of similar used supercars on the market.

According to the auction owner – Barrett-Jackson, the crowd at the event “stood up and cheered as the 1997 Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster (Lot #1407), formerly owned by Donald J. Trump, set a new world auction record price at $1.1 million. It only took about 90 seconds for the car to be auctioned above the $1 million mark (~24 billion VND). This is an incredible price for a 30-year-old car.

Donald Trump’s car has an ODO reading of 24,834 km. Last April, a red 1998 Diablo VT Roadster with 68,458 km on the odometer was sold by Mecum Auctions for $291,500 (~7.11 billion VND).
