Nyobolt, an electric car manufacturer, has recently introduced a concept electric sports car. The notable feature is the new battery technology that significantly reduces charging time compared to other electric cars on the market.

Unlike lithium-ion battery-powered electric cars, the Nyobolt car is equipped with a volfram battery technology that allows for fast charging. The battery capacity is 35 kWh, which may seem small compared to other electric cars on the market. However, the special feature is the charging speed, which reaches 10C, equivalent to 10 times the initial electric output level.

The car can be fully charged in 6 minutes, has a range of 250 km, and an average energy consumption of 14.3 kWh. Nyobolt claims that the battery can endure approximately 2,000 charging cycles, equivalent to a travel distance of over 480,000 km.

Aside from the battery information, Nyobolt has not disclosed any details regarding the drivetrain and features of the car. Digital renderings show that the electric car has a design similar to the Lotus Elise sports car, which is not surprising as Julian Thomson, the designer of the Lotus Elise, was involved in the design of this electric car.

Commercial production of this battery technology is expected to begin in early next year. In 2022, Nyobolt received a £50 million investment to establish a battery manufacturing facility in their home country.
