As per the plan, the electric supercar YangWang U9 will be officially launched on February 25th.
Previously, in December 2023, YangWang applied for a sales license for this model. Currently, the company is keeping the pricing information confidential.
YangWang U9 is a model produced by FinDreams, a subsidiary of BYD – the largest electric vehicle brand in China.
YangWang U9 is developed on the new e4 platform. The car has dimensions of 4,966 x 2,029 x 1,295 (mm) and a wheelbase of 2,900 mm.
YangWang U9 has a sporty and aggressive design. The front of the car is impressive with many similarities to the McLaren Artura. The rear of the car features a large rear wing along with enlarged aerodynamic diffusers.
YangWang U9 has a minimalistic interior with basic amenities such as a 3-spoke steering wheel, integrated function buttons, dual control sticks, and three screens including two small screens in front of the driver and passenger seats and a unique-shaped screen on the central control panel.
YangWang U9 is powered by four electric motors, each with a power output of 322 horsepower, resulting in a total power of 1,287 horsepower.
BYD claims that YangWang U9 can reach a speed of 100 km/h in just 2 seconds and has a maximum speed of 300 km/h. The company also states that the car can travel up to 700 km on a single charge based on China’s test cycle, thanks to a 100 kWh battery pack.
In addition to its powerful engine, YangWang U9 is equipped with various special technologies, demonstrating the progress of the Chinese automotive industry. With a unique suspension system, the electric supercar can “jump” and lift all four wheels off the ground, even when only three wheels are functional.
Specifically, U9 uses a suspension system called “Disus-X,” which includes smart body control using shock absorbers (Disus-C) developed by BYD, hydraulic-based smart body control (Disus-P), and compressible air-based smart body control (Disus-A), along with control in vertical, horizontal, and straight movements. This feature is rarely used but very useful in case of issues with one wheel or tire.

The YangWang U9 is equipped with 4 electric motors, providing a power output of up to 1,287 horsepower. This enables the supercar model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2 seconds before reaching a top speed of 300 km/h.
