Introducing the All-New Suzuki Ertiga Cruise 2024: Replacing the Ertiga Sport, Possibly Coming to Vietnam

In the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2024, Suzuki unveiled a new version of its small MPV, the Ertiga, called the Cruise. Positioned as the premium variant of the Ertiga lineup, the Ertiga Cruise will replace its predecessor, the Ertiga Sport.

Similar to the previous Ertiga Sport, the 2024 Suzuki Ertiga Cruise comes with a sporty body kit to differentiate itself from the standard variant. However, the body kit of the 2024 Ertiga Cruise has been refreshed compared to the Ertiga Sport.

Specifically, the 2024 Suzuki Ertiga Cruise is equipped with new front, side, and rear skirts. Additionally, it comes with distinct front and rear bumpers and a more aggressive rear spoiler. The white 2024 Suzuki Ertiga Cruise also features a contrasting roof.

Aside from these changes, the 2024 Suzuki Ertiga Cruise remains largely similar to the Ertiga Sport in terms of its alloy wheels and interior features. In the Indonesian market, the Ertiga Cruise comes with fabric-upholstered seats, a sporty flat-bottom steering wheel, an 8-inch multi-information display, carbon fiber-look dashboard trim, and a floating 8-inch infotainment screen as well as Cruise Control.

Under the hood, the 2024 Suzuki Ertiga Cruise is powered by the same mild hybrid engine technology called the Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS) found in the newer XL7 Hybrid. It comes with a 1.5L 4-cylinder gasoline engine that generates a maximum power of 103 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 138 Nm at 4,400 rpm. Power is sent to the wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission.

The engine is paired with a 10 Ah lithium-ion battery (approximately 1,200W) and an integrated starter generator (ISG). The SHVS system assists with acceleration, reduces load on the gasoline engine, and improves fuel efficiency. Additionally, Suzuki has equipped the Ertiga Cruise with an auto engine stop-start feature.

In the Indonesian market, the 2024 Suzuki Ertiga Cruise is available in four trim levels with prices ranging from 288 to 301 million Rupiah (approximately 449 to 469 million VND). After Indonesia, the Ertiga Cruise may also be introduced in other Southeast Asian markets such as Vietnam. The Suzuki Ertiga Sport Limited is currently priced at 678 million VND in Vietnam.
