One of the models with a big discount is the MG5. Positioned in the mid-size sedan segment, the selling price of the MG5 is quite competitive and is often compared to B-segment sedans or even A-segment cars.
At an MG dealership in Hanoi, the selling price of the 2022 MG5 STD VIN version is advertised at 370 million VND. Compared to the listed price of 523 million VND, the price of this sedan has been reduced by 153 million VND during the end of the year. After the discount, the mentioned 2022 MG5 STD models have a price equivalent to A-segment cars such as the Kia Morning, Hyundai Grand i10, or Toyota Wigo.

However, the dealership staff noted that the availability of MG5 cars at the above-mentioned price is limited. Specifically, there are only 2 MG5 STD 2022 models available in red and black.
In the Vietnamese market, the MG5, along with many other models of the same brand, have undisclosed sales figures. The MG5 is distributed in 2 versions: STD and Luxury, with list prices ranging from 523 million VND to 588 million VND.
Regarding pickup trucks, discounts are also being offered. According to information from multiple Mazda dealerships, the selling price of the BT-50 pickup truck is currently 529 million VND for the manual transmission version. Compared to the listed price of 554 million VND, the Mazda BT-50 manual transmission version is enjoying a discount of 25 million VND at dealerships.
Mitsubishi is also implementing a 100% vehicle registration fee exemption program for all 3 versions of the Mitsubishi Triton. The discount that Vietnamese customers receive when purchasing a Mitsubishi pickup truck during this period is equivalent to a value of 39-56 million VND. In addition, for the Triton 4×2 Athlete version, customers will also receive an additional tonneau cover and a 30 million VND physical damage insurance.

For the Thai-imported Isuzu D-Max pickup truck, customers who purchase a vehicle during this period are being supported with a 50% vehicle registration fee exemption. This discount applies to both versions of the Isuzu D-Max pickup truck, equivalent to a maximum value of nearly 32 million VND.
Meanwhile, Nissan is also offering a 100% vehicle registration fee exemption for customers purchasing a Nissan Navara. With list prices ranging from 699 million VND to 970 million VND, the discount for the Nissan Navara is equivalent to a value of 50-70 million VND.
As of the end of November, the Ford Ranger is the best-selling pickup truck in the Vietnamese market. The sales volume of the Ford Ranger after 11 months is at 14,173 units, accounting for over 80% of the total sales in the pickup truck segment. Following the Ford Ranger are the Mitsubishi Triton (2,020 units), Mazda BT-50 (750 units), Isuzu D-Max (472 units), and Toyota Hilux (127 units).
Hyundai Dealerships Clearing Inventory
At present, the remaining stock of the 2022 Hyundai Creta at dealerships is very limited. Therefore, all versions of the Hyundai Creta with 2022 VIN numbers are being offered with a maximum discount of 120 million VND to clear inventory. These vehicles are fully imported from Indonesia and thus do not qualify for the government’s vehicle registration fee exemption policy.
Compared to the domestically assembled version, the imported Hyundai Creta does not have any differences. The listed price of the Hyundai Creta ranges from 640 to 740 million VND, depending on the version. After the discount, the starting price for the 2022 Hyundai Creta at dealerships is 520 million VND.
In addition, the standard version of the 2022 Hyundai Elantra is also being cleared through a promotion with a discount of 70 million VND. Thanks to this, the standard Elantra with 2022 VIN numbers is priced at 529 million VND, but is limited in quantity and exterior color options. According to information from dealerships, the discount for the Hyundai Elantra standard version manufactured in 2023 is 15-20 million VND.
Green Cars Also Receive Discounts
At many Nissan dealerships in the southern region of Vietnam, the price of the Nissan Kicks is below 700 million VND. Specifically, the Nissan Kicks V version is priced at 685 million VND at one dealership, equivalent to a 173 million VND difference compared to the listed price. As for the Nissan Kicks E version, dealerships have already sold out.
In the Vietnamese market, the Nissan Kicks is available in 2 versions: E and V, with list prices of 789 million VND and 858 million VND, respectively.

Another green car recently introduced in the Vietnamese market is the Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid version, which is also being offered with discounts at the end of the year.
