The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport with the iconic dragon emblem was successfully auctioned off for over 42 billion VND in 2012.

At a auction held on February 18, 2024 on Collecting Cars, the rare Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport “Wei Long” was sold for 1.61 million Euros (approximately 42.55 billion VND).

The Veyron Grand Sport Wei Long was introduced in 2012 at the Shanghai Motor Show. It was a custom design collaboration between Bugatti and German porcelain manufacturer Koenigliche, commissioned by a VIP customer to celebrate the Year of the Dragon. In Chinese, “Wei Long” means “majestic dragon.”

The exterior of the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Wei Long is finished in Porcelain White. It is equipped with white multi-spoke wheels with red accents, featuring a ceramic center logo depicting the Chinese character for “dragon,” measuring 20 inches in the front and 21 inches in the rear. The rear electric spoiler enhances downforce at high speeds and also acts as an active air brake. Additionally, the car is equipped with a dedicated umbrella that serves as a portable sunshade.

The interior of the Veyron Grand Sport Wei Long stands out with Italian Red accents and numerous hand-finished ceramic details. The highlight is an intricately sculpted coiled dragon design behind the seats. The seats feature embroidered dragon characters in raised Chinese script on the headrests.

The Veyron Grand Sport was produced in a limited quantity of 58 cars worldwide, and this “Wei Long” is number 50 out of 58. Under the hood of this supercar is a 8.0L W16 engine, producing a staggering 1,200 horsepower and 1,500 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DSG transmission and all-wheel drive. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of 407 km/h.
