On February 5, 2024, Mitsubishi began exporting Xforce vehicles produced in Indonesia to Vietnam. The first batch of Mitsubishi Xforce vehicles has now arrived in Vietnam, including the standard GLX version.

Initially introduced to the Vietnamese market in January 2024, the Mitsubishi Xforce comes in 4 versions: GLX, Exceed, Premium, and Ultimate. Among them, the GLX version is priced at 620 million VND.

“You get what you pay for”, the Mitsubishi Xforce GLX lacks many features compared to higher-end versions. The standard version of this B-segment SUV only comes with LED Projector headlights, LED taillights, and 17-inch alloy wheels with a single color paint job. The GLX version does not have automatic headlights, front fog lights, automatic rain-sensing wipers, 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-tone scratch plates, and power tailgate.

Inside the Mitsubishi Xforce GLX, there is a 2-row seating configuration with 5 seats. The seats of this standard version are upholstered in fabric instead of leather, giving a less premium feel.

The interior features of the standard version include a 3-spoke steering wheel, second-row seats with 8 adjustable positions, rear passenger air vents, push-button start, keyless entry, electronic parking brake, auto hold, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and analog instrument cluster.

The standard version does not have features such as a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, dual-zone automatic climate control, nanoe-X air filter function, wireless phone charging, interior ambient lighting, and Yamaha Premium 8-speaker Dynamic Sound audio system.

Similarly, the safety features of the GLX version are quite basic, including 4 airbags, a reverse camera, Active Yaw Control (AYC) cornering assist system, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), brake assist (BA), hill start assist, and electronic stability control.

Meanwhile, advanced safety features such as 6 airbags, blind-spot warning, tire pressure monitoring system, rear parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic headlights, forward collision warning/mitigation, and front pre-collision warning are only available in the higher-end versions.

In all versions, the Mitsubishi Xforce is powered by a familiar 1.5L 4-cylinder gasoline engine, delivering a maximum output of 105 horsepower and a peak torque of 141 Nm. This is the same engine currently used in the Mitsubishi Xpander. The engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive. However, the GLX version does not have the 4 driving modes, including Highway, Water, Gravel, and Mud.

According to the plan, Mitsubishi Xforce will start being delivered to customers in Vietnam next month.
