After launching the CX-70 2025 last month, Mazda has recently announced the price of this all-new SUV model.

Expected to be available at dealerships in the US in the first quarter of this year, this two-row crossover has a starting price of $40,445. Surprisingly, the Mazda CX-70 is priced higher than its “big brother,” the CX-90, which has a starting price of $37,845.

Although the higher price of the CX-70 compared to the CX-90 may be confusing for many customers, in terms of equipment, the CX-70 is no less impressive than its older sibling, and may even be more luxurious. Starting with the standard 3.3 Turbo Preferred version, the CX-70 is equipped with LED headlights and taillights, black accents, 19-inch gray alloy wheels, rain-sensing wipers, and a sunroof.

In terms of interior, the standard CX-70 has black leather seats with front heating and power adjustment. It also features a leather-wrapped steering wheel, wireless smartphone charging pad, automatic climate control, and an 8-speaker audio system. Buyers will also find a 7-inch display in the instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment system with integrated Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

On the safety front, the vehicle is equipped with several driver assistance systems including Mazda’s radar-based Cruise Control with Stop&Go, Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Attention Alert, Smart Brake Support, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and a Rearview Camera.

Under the hood, there is a 3.3-liter turbocharged inline-six engine producing 280 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive.

The higher-end version is the CX-70 3.3 Turbo Premium, with a starting price of $45,900. This model features a panoramic sunroof, hands-free power liftgate, and 21-inch wheels.

Inside the cabin, it offers a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, head-up display, and a premium Bose 12-speaker audio system. It also comes with a more luxurious interior lighting system, online navigation system, and auto-dimming rearview mirror.

The CX-70 3.3 Turbo Premium Plus is priced at $48,900 and features Nappa leather seats and a heated steering wheel. Additionally, this version has heated and ventilated front seats and heated rear seats.

Other highlights include automatically folding and anti-glare side mirrors, rain-sensing windshield wipers with de-icer, and a 360-degree camera. Furthermore, front cross-traffic warning and integrated rearview camera display features are also added to this version.

The Mazda CX-70 3.3 Turbo S Premium is priced at $52,450. This version is equipped with a 340-horsepower engine and 500 Nm of torque. The features in the CX-70 3.3 Turbo S Premium are similar to the standard Turbo Premium version, but with some unique highlights such as a distinctive hexagonal grille pattern and fully LED lighting. This model also features Nappa leather front seats with heating and ventilation, a heated steering wheel, and a 12.3-inch display.

The Mazda CX-70 3.3 Turbo S Premium Plus is priced at $55,950. This version adds a two-tone leather steering wheel, perforated leather dashboard, and exclusive brown Nappa leather seats. This crossover also features a windshield wiper de-icer and a 150W power outlet in the cargo area.

The CX-70 PHEV Premium, priced at $54,400, is the choice for customers who prefer an environmentally friendly option. As the name suggests, this version has a plug-in hybrid transmission system, including a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine coupled with an electric motor and a 17.8 kWh battery. This setup delivers a total output of 323 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque.

In terms of equipment, this version has full LED lighting, hands-free power liftgate, rain-sensing wipers, a panoramic sunroof, and 21-inch alloy wheels.

Moving inside, the CX-70 PHEV Premium has a 12.3-inch display, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, and a wireless smartphone charging pad. Customers will also find heated leather front seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with Homelink, and a power outlet in the cargo area.

The highest-end version is the CX-70 PHEV Premium Plus, with a starting price of $57,450. This version adds Nappa leather seats, a heated and ventilated front steering wheel, and ventilated front seats. The crossover also has heated rear seats and additional driver assistance systems.
