I will continue to use electric cars for future trips,” Trang affirmed.

To make a more visual comparison, Hoang Duc Tuan, who just completed a 3-day cross-Vietnam trip with the VinFast VF 8 covering a long 1,715 km journey from Hai Duong to Vung Tau, calculated that the energy cost was only about 690 VND per km. The trip only cost about 1.2 million VND, plus nearly 800,000 VND for bridge toll fees, making a total cost of over 2 million VND. Considering both directions, the cost is less than 5 million VND.

Meanwhile, if traveling by plane, a family of 2 adults and 2 children would have to spend nearly 19 million VND for airfare and taxi fares, nearly 4 times the cost of an electric car. “The difference compared to driving an electric car is about 14 million VND. I can use that money for the Lunar New Year, gifts for grandparents… isn’t that better?” Tuan compared.

If stopping to charge the battery and take a lunch break, he chose the 60 kW charging station, which charged from 52% to 90% in just 45 minutes. With the 180 kW charging station, he only needed 8 minutes to increase the battery charge from 38% to 56%.
