The CEO of VinFast India has revealed that the company will distribute 6 models of cars in various segments, catering to the demand of customers in the most populous country in the world.

During the groundbreaking ceremony of the factory in Sillaanaththtam, Tamil Nadu state, Mr. Pham Sanh Chau – CEO of VinFast India revealed the company’s future plans to The Hindu, the second-largest English newspaper in the country.

According to the newspaper, VinFast will offer 6 models of cars in different segments in India. After listening to customer feedback, VinFast will focus on the most sought-after segment. The company promises to provide products with modern features and competitive prices, suitable for the conditions and preferences of users in this South Asian country.

VinFast’s cars will be distributed through an authorized dealer network, accompanied by attentive after-sales services. In addition, the Vietnamese automaker will soon deploy the construction of public charging infrastructure across India.

Pricing is one of the most important factors in competing in India, Mr. Pham Sanh Chau said VinFast will focus on localizing components to reduce production costs and bring down the prices of cars to the lowest level.

Workforce and the location of the factory are also crucial factors. VinFast chose Thoothukudi as the location for the factory after surveying 15 locations in 6 states. This area has the advantage of a sea port and an airport, along with favorable policies from the Tamil Nadu state government and an abundant labor force. The factory is expected to be completed quickly and start production from the middle of 2025, serving both domestic and export demands.
