Ford Vietnam has officially confirmed the launch of the Platinum version of the Everest line in Vietnam.
According to Ford Vietnam, the Platinum version of the Everest line will soon be available in the domestic market. After its debut, this new variant is expected to become the highest-end version of the line, surpassing Titanium and replacing the current Wildtrak.
Ford Everest Platinum will be offered in 4 exterior color options, including brown, white, black, and gray.
The distinguishing feature of this premium variant from lower versions is the redesigned grille with chrome accents accompanied by the 3D “Platinum” logo on the hood. The car is equipped with 20-inch dual-spoke alloy wheels and a “full-size” spare tire.
Other features remain the same as the Titanium version, including matrix LED headlights, LED fog lights, and chrome accents.
As for the interior, this new Platinum version will have premium leather seats with diamond pattern, maple wood trim on the dashboard, 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, and Zone Lighting feature.
The driver’s seat is equipped with 10-way power adjustment with 3 memory positions. The front seats have cooling and heating functions, while the second-row seats only have heating function. The third-row seats are equipped with power folding function.
The cargo capacity is 199 liters, which can be expanded to 876 liters (with the third-row seats folded) and 1,796 liters (with the second and third-row seats folded). The trunk can be electronically opened and closed, with adjustable height.
Furthermore, Ford Everest Platinum still has similar features as the Titanium version, such as a 12.4-inch touchscreen located behind the steering wheel, a 12-inch vertical touchscreen with SYNC4 connectivity, electronic shifter, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, and panoramic sunroof.
Providing power for Ford Everest Platinum in Vietnam is a 2.0L twin-turbocharged engine, producing 207 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive system. The car also has a terrain management system with 6 driving modes.
In terms of safety features, Ford Everest Platinum has all the premium features like the Wildtrak version, including adaptive cruise control, intelligent headlights, emergency brake assist, lane keeping assist, automatic parking assist, blind spot warning, and 360-degree camera.
According to sales consultants, the expected price of Everest Platinum is around 1.7 billion VND, which is 200 million VND higher than the Wildtrak version. Dealerships have already started accepting deposits and the car is expected to be delivered in March or at the latest in April. This new Ford Everest Platinum is said to continue to be imported from Thailand.
