A recent survey conducted by market research firm J.D. Power evaluated the satisfaction level of electric vehicle owners.
According to the survey, the all-electric sedan model BMW i4 scored highest in the luxury electric vehicle segment.
The survey also showed that luxury electric vehicle models such as Rivian R1T, Rivian R1S, Tesla Model 3, and Model Y were highly rated by users.
On the other hand, the Audi Q4 e-tron in the luxury electric vehicle segment seems to have received less favorable reviews. This model only received a score of 680 out of 1,000.
Meanwhile, in the mainstream electric vehicle segment, the MINI Cooper Electric is the most satisfying model for owners. It is followed closely by the Ford Mustang Mach-E.
At the bottom of the mainstream electric vehicle segment is the Nissan Leaf, which only achieved a satisfaction score of 651 out of 1,000.
To obtain these survey results, J.D. Power conducted extensive research, collected information, and scored based on factors such as range accuracy, ownership cost, driving enjoyment, quality, reliability, interior and exterior design, as well as the availability of public charging stations.
Among these factors, the issue of charging stations for electric vehicles is of greater concern to users. However, this year’s satisfaction level in this category has decreased compared to the data in 2022.
As a result, 39% of electric vehicle owners expressed their desire to switch to hybrid or internal combustion engine vehicles in their next vehicle purchase. Approximately 48% of respondents said they would consider switching to plug-in hybrid vehicles.
