Today, on March 1, 2024, Toyota Vietnam has announced the comeback of the Hilux pickup truck model. According to Toyota Vietnam’s announcement, the Hilux will come in 3 versions, including 2.4 4×4 MT, 2.4 4×2 AT, and 2.8 4×4 AT Adventure. The prices for these 3 versions are 668 million, 706 million, and 999 million VND, respectively.
So compared to the starting price of 852 million VND for the old version, the Toyota Hilux 2024 is now 184 million VND cheaper. The lower prices and the increased variety of versions promise to improve the competitiveness of the Toyota Hilux 2024 in Vietnam.

But that’s not all, this model has also been upgraded in terms of convenience and safety features. In terms of convenience, the car is equipped with a larger entertainment screen and supports wireless smartphone connectivity. In terms of safety, the car has additional features such as blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and a 360-degree camera.

In addition, the 2.4 4×4 MT and 2.4 4×2 AT versions of the Toyota Hilux 2024 will have a redesigned front bumper for a more powerful and modern look.
Under the hood of the Toyota Hilux 2024 in Vietnam, there are 2 engine options. The first one is a 2.4L 4-cylinder diesel engine, producing a maximum power of 144 horsepower and a maximum torque of 400 Nm. The engine comes with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 2.4 4×4 MT version will have a 2-wheel drive system, while the 2.4 4×2 AT version will be equipped with a 1-wheel drive system.
The second option is a 2.8L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, producing a maximum power of 201 horsepower and a maximum torque of 500 Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and a 2-wheel drive system.
Toyota Hilux 2024 also comes in a 2.8 4×4 AT Adventure version with a 2.8L diesel engine and a 2-wheel drive system
Currently, the sales consultants at the dealerships have started accepting deposits for this pickup truck. According to the plan, the Toyota Hilux 2024 will be officially launched in the Vietnamese market in the second quarter of this year.
Returning to the Vietnamese market in March 2023, the Toyota Hilux has consistently ranked last in the pickup truck segment in terms of sales volume. In the whole year of 2023, Toyota only sold 134 Hilux vehicles to Vietnamese customers due to high prices and having only 1 version available. In January 2024, the sales volume of this model reached 0.
The Toyota Hilux 2024 in Vietnam will continue to be imported as a whole unit from Thailand.
