On March 4th, Chinese car company BYD signed a contract to produce electric cars in Vietnam and launched the 2024 Yuan Plus compact SUV, with a highlight of a price reduction of 16,000 yuan, equivalent to 53 million dong compared to the previous version. This is BYD’s first move in the Year of the Tiger to increase sales for the Yuan Plus.
Specifically, this car is the BYD Yuan Plus Honor Edition, with a total of 5 configurations, with prices ranging from 119,800 yuan to 147,800 yuan, equivalent to 391 million dong to 483 million dong.
BYD Yuan Plus standard version
As for the highlight, the BYD Yuan Plus Honor Edition features the exterior/interior of the Black Knight model, while upgrading the continuous call feature with smart voice recognition, a wide temperature range, and a high-efficiency heat pump system for the entire line of cars.
In terms of appearance, the car applies BYD’s latest design language to the front, with simple and smooth lines. At the same time, the chrome strip running along the front features the word “Yuan” stamped in small letters, very delicate. The side lines of the car are muscular, with a dynamic body waistline design. The shape of the wheels is also quite unique.
In terms of body size, referring to the current model, the length, width, and height of the new car are 4455mm/1875mm/1615mm, and the wheelbase length is 2720mm. At the rear of the car, the translucent taillight design is very recognizable. The C-pillar of the car is unique and uses a silver “dragon scale” decorative panel as a highlight at the rear of the car.
The interior of the BYD Yuan Plus Honor Edition continues the current design, built with the concept of “smooth space”. The central control panel of the new car is arranged in two colors. The sleek design of the central control panel has a suspended dragon beard in the middle, equipped with dumbbell-shaped air conditioning on both sides, air vents, and a refreshing treadmill-style center armrest.
In terms of configuration, the car will be equipped with the DiLink intelligent network connection system, the DiPilot intelligent driving assistance system, mobile VTOL electric station…
Finally, in terms of power, the BYD Yuan Plus Honor Edition will continue to be equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor mounted at the front with a maximum power of 150kW, a maximum torque of 310N·m, and an acceleration time of 0-100km/h in 7.3 seconds.
Regarding battery life, the company will provide two different battery versions with capacities of 49.92kWh and 60.48kWh, with corresponding travel ranges of 430 km and 510 km.
