According to the plan, the Toyota Hilux Revo GR Sport model will officially launch in the Southeast Asian market on March 20th. This new version is enhanced to turn the midsize pickup into a high-performance vehicle.

The Toyota Hilux Revo GR Sport model is inspired by the Dakar Rally, where off-road teams from Australia, Thailand, Latin America, and Japan compete against each other.

Compared to the standard version, the Toyota Hilux GR Sport 2024 has an improved height of 15 mm and a maximum width increased by 155 mm. It features a front coil-spring suspension and rear leaf spring with large piston KYB monotube shock absorbers. These changes help reduce body roll, enhance steering precision, and improve stability.

The towing capacity and off-road capability of the Toyota Hilux GR Sport 2024 are also enhanced compared to the regular Hilux. It is equipped with Bridgestone Dueler AT 265/65 R17 tires and unique black Dakar-style 17-inch alloy wheels.

The car has a disc braking system on all four wheels, with fixed four-piston calipers measuring 338 mm x 28 mm at the front and one-piston floating calipers measuring 312 mm x 18 mm at the rear, painted in red.

In terms of interior, the Toyota Hilux GR Sport 2024 has various improvements such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel with red stitching at the center and GR logo at the bottom. Some highlights in the interior include sports seats with a combination of leather and suede, red safety belts, aluminum pedals, “Technical Mesh” dashboard trim, GR Sport gear lever, floor mats, and a 9-speaker JBL sound system.

Powering the Toyota Hilux Revo GR Sport is a familiar 2.8L turbocharged 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces a maximum output of 224 horsepower and a peak torque of 550 Nm. Compared to the regular version, the engine of the Toyota Hilux GR Sport 2024 is 10% more powerful. This engine is paired with an improved 6-speed automatic transmission.
