Mitsubishi Outlander 4th generation has been on the market for about 3 years. This means that an upgraded version in the middle of the car’s lifecycle is being developed and prepared for launch. However, before the upgraded version is unveiled, Mitsubishi has introduced the Outlander GSR in the Australian market.
Positioned as the top-of-the-line version of this mid-size SUV, the Mitsubishi Outlander GSR stands out with its black exterior details to create a sporty feel. Specifically, the car is equipped with a grille, front/rear bumper overlays, raised “Outlander” emblem on the hood, GRS logo on the tailgate, and 20-inch black alloy wheels.
In addition, the Mitsubishi Outlander GSR also offers the option of a two-tone exterior paint, Red Diamond red and Black Mica black roof. These changes make the Japanese SUV even more attractive in the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment in the Australian market.

Like other high-end versions of this car line, the Mitsubishi Outlander GSR features a 7-seat interior. The equipment of the car is naturally very complete with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 9-inch touchscreen center display, a Bose 10-speaker sound system, heated seats, and a panoramic sunroof.

In addition, the car has an upgraded MI-PILOT active safety technology package, including adaptive cruise control and lane departure assistance. Moreover, the car can automatically start the engine after stopping at a red light for 30 seconds.
Under the hood of the Mitsubishi Outlander GSR in the Australian market is still the plug-in hybrid powertrain, including a 2.4L gasoline engine and 2 electric motors mounted on both axles. The front axle electric motor has a maximum power of 114 horsepower and the corresponding figure for the remaining motor is 134 horsepower. This powertrain produces a total output of 248 horsepower and a maximum torque of 450 Nm.

In addition, the car is equipped with a 20 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and Super-All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) 4WD system. The battery allows the car to travel up to 87 km without using the gasoline engine.
According to the plan, the Mitsubishi Outlander GSR will be available at Australian dealerships this month at a relatively high price, up to 73,790 AUD (about 1.13 billion VND).
