Mazda states that the CX-70 is more suitable for suburbs rather than off-road paths. The Japanese carmaker hopes that the CX-70 will be a premium SUV option for small families, thanks to its spacious cabin and impressive cargo capacity.

The 2025 Mazda CX-70 offers users an expressive and diverse interior color palette. Additionally, this model is complemented by high-quality materials, such as gray metal inlays, Nappa leather, and red stitching details inspired by the special 100th anniversary MX-5 edition.

Unfortunately, the interior dimensions of the Mazda CX-70 2025 have not been announced yet. However, the Japanese automaker reveals that features like remote folding rear seats will make it easier to accommodate long items in the cargo area. Additionally, purse hooks, storage compartments, and a secondary trunk will enhance the practicality of the CX-70.

In terms of exterior design, the CX-70 draws inspiration from the CX-90. This is good news as the CX-90 is already an eye-catching SUV. Like the CX-90, the CX-70 will come equipped with an all-wheel-drive system.

As for the engine, the 2025 Mazda CX-70 offers customers the option of a 3.3L turbocharged inline-6 engine paired with a mild-hybrid system or a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain based on a 2.5L inline-4 engine. Currently, the power output and torque of these engine options for the CX-70 have not been disclosed, but these powertrains are already available in the CX-90.

On the CX-90, the 3.3L engine delivers either 280 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque or 340 horsepower and 500Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the PHEV powertrain offers a combined output of 323 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque.

Mazda has announced that the CX-70 will feature several new driver assistance technologies. Notably, the unresponsive driver assistance feature will automatically slow down the SUV if it detects an unconscious or incapacitated driver. Additionally, this SUV integrates Amazon’s Alexa virtual assistant, allowing drivers to perform hands-free commands to adjust temperature, radio, or smart home devices.

Mazda has not yet revealed when the CX-70 will be available in showrooms or its price, but it is expected to be a 2025 model. Therefore, we predict that more detailed information will be available later this year.
