Prior to this, Toyota Vietnam dealers had announced that they were accepting deposits for the upgraded 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross model.

Sales staff have revealed that the upgraded 2024 Corolla Cross is expected to be imported from Thailand. The car is scheduled to be launched in the Vietnamese market in May with two versions: the Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8V 2024 and the Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8 Hybrid 2024.

The new facelifted Toyota Corolla Cross 2024 was introduced to the Southeast Asian market starting from early February 2024 with its first destination being the Thai market.

One of the exterior highlights of the new Corolla Cross is the redesigned full-LED headlights, similar to the versions available in the European and Japanese markets. The difference lies in the slimmer upper grille with a honeycomb pattern that closely resembles the one on the Lexus RX.

In addition, the car also receives new headlights and sequential turn signals, similar to the Corolla Cross versions sold in other markets.

Other notable exterior highlights include a panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable tailgate with foot sensors. The taillights are also LED with a new design, accompanied by new 18-inch alloy wheels.

In the Thai market, the upgraded Corolla Cross continues to be equipped with a naturally aspirated 1.8L petrol engine in the regular internal combustion version and is also part of the hybrid powertrain.

Specifically, the regular internal combustion engine is the 2ZR-FBE 1.8L unit with 140 horsepower and 177 Nm of torque for the base 1.8 Sport Plus variant, and the 2ZR-FXE 1.8L engine with 122 horsepower for the remaining hybrid variants.

In terms of active safety equipment, the car comes standard with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while the premium variants are equipped with the Toyota Safety Sense system, which includes forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control at all speed ranges, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic headlights, and parking assist.

Other active safety features include electronic stability control, traction control, ABS brakes, EBD, brake assist, hill-start assist, tire pressure monitoring, and 7 airbags.

Notable interior upgrades include an electronic parking brake with automatic hold function. The car features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and all versions come with a 10.1-inch touchscreen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

The Corolla Cross facelift is equipped with black or red leather seats. The cabin lighting now uses LED lights, and the top two variants feature wireless charging and a panoramic sunroof.
