Revuelto – the embodiment of the future of Lamborghini design – officially launches today in the Vietnam market. This model inherits Lamborghini’s exclusive design DNA while creating a completely new stylistic language. Revuelto draws inspiration from Lamborghini’s legendary V12s of the past, expressed through a fresh shape and proportion, opening the door to the future.
Despite bringing a breakthrough in both exterior and interior car design, Revuelto still clearly retains the inspiration from previous V12 legends. Starting from the 1971 Countach prototype with its perfect proportion developed on a single vertical line, this car has created a pure and essential style suitable for the Space Age context.
Countach has defined the DNA of Lamborghini V12 supercars and introduced one of its most special features – vertically opening scissor doors – contributing to the distinctive character of Revuelto. The new car also inherits the unreplicable proportion of Diablo and the blade protruding on the rear fender, while clearly demonstrating the muscular and forward-leaning nature of Murciélago.
The Italian supercar brand named Revuelto after a fighting bullock in Barcelona, Spain in August 1880, a traditional naming style of the company. Revuelto, with the codename LB744, is also the 6th supercar equipped with Lamborghini’s new V12 engine. Developed based on the Aventador, the new supercar is born on the occasion of celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Italian brand’s establishment.
The supercar is equipped with a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 petrol engine, producing 825 horsepower at 9,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 725 Nm at 6,750 rpm. With the codename L545, this new petrol engine limits the engine speed to 9,500 rpm, replacing the L539 engine on the Aventador. The new engine weighs 218 kg, 17 kg lighter than the V12 engine of the Aventador. The Revuelto engine is reversed by 180 degrees compared to the Aventador engine because the gearbox is transverse and behind the engine to make room for the battery.
Lamborghini adds 3 electric motors to the Revuelto, including a 150 horsepower and 150 Nm electric motor on the rear shaft. The other two electric motors are mounted on the front shaft, each motor producing 150 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. The electric motor is powered by a 3.8 kWh battery pack. The battery can be recharged at a maximum power of 7 kW and can be fully charged from a depleted state in 30 minutes. In addition, the battery can also be charged thanks to regenerative braking technology, or directly from the V12 internal combustion engine in just 6 minutes, according to Lamborghini.
All combined, it creates a total output of 1,001 horsepower. The power is transmitted to all 4 wheels through a new 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. The supercar has 3 driving modes, including Recharge, Hybrid, and Performance based on engine usage, and a total of 12 different mode settings, from a silent mode when only using the electric motor, to the powerful sound of the distinctive V12 engine.
