In December 2023, Tesla unveiled the pricing, specifications, and range of the Cybertruck for the US market. The electric pickup truck will be offered in three variants. The base model with a single electric motor and rear-wheel drive starts at $60,990 and can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 6.5 seconds.
The dual-motor, all-wheel-drive variant is priced at $79,990 and produces 600 horsepower and a massive 1,000 Nm of torque. While it has a range of up to 340 miles on a single charge, lower than the previously announced 500 miles, it can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 112 mph. The production-ready Cybertruck can tow up to 14,000 pounds and has a payload capacity of 2,500 pounds in its over 6-foot-long bed.
Tesla calls the top-of-the-line version the Cyberbeast, which starts at $99,990. It boasts 845 horsepower and an incredible 1,400 Nm of torque. The electric pickup truck can rocket from 0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds and has a top speed of approximately 130 mph. The range of this variant is rated at up to 320 miles.
The Cybertruck’s exterior is unlike any other pickup on the market, with its stainless steel body. Despite its unconventional design, Tesla claims the truck has a very low drag coefficient of 0.335.
The Cybertruck rides on 35-inch all-terrain tires and has an impressive 17 inches of ground clearance. It measures 223.3 inches long, 86.6 inches wide, and 70.5 inches tall, with a ground clearance of 17.4 inches.
The cabin features a two-row, five-seater configuration. It is equipped with an 18.5-inch central touchscreen, a 9.4-inch rear entertainment screen, a 15-speaker sound system, and wireless charging for two phones.
Other features include a locking rear differential, a steer-by-wire system, and a rear-wheel steering system that enables a tighter turning circle than the Model S. It is also the first vehicle to feature a 24-volt electrical architecture, instead of the conventional 12-volt system.
