At the current time, many Hyundai dealers in Vietnam have confirmed that they have started receiving deposits for the Stargazer X model.
“From now on, customers can place a deposit of 5-10 million VND for the Hyundai Stargazer X. This model will be imported in its entirety from Indonesia and will be available in the second quarter,” a staff member confirmed.
The selling price of the Hyundai Stargazer X at the current time has not been disclosed. However, according to the assessment of sales consultants, the listed price of the Stargazer X versions will likely be slightly higher than the price range of 575-685 million VND that the Hyundai Stargazer currently has in the Vietnamese market.
In the Indonesian market, the Hyundai Stargazer X has a total of 4 versions with a listed price ranging from 335.8-349.9 million Rp, equivalent to approximately 525-548 million VND.

It is understood that the Hyundai Stargazer X is the “SUVized” version of the Hyundai Stargazer currently operating in the Vietnamese market. Therefore, the Hyundai Stargazer X can be considered similar to and a direct competitor to the Suzuki XL7, Mitsubishi Xpander Cross, or Toyota Veloz Cross.
However, the Hyundai Stargazer X does not have many differences compared to the Hyundai Stargazer overall. Some details that have been changed on the Hyundai Stargazer X include a wider grille, a plastic strip running along the bottom of the body, a dark rear bumper combined with a silver accent, or the appearance of a roof rack.
The Hyundai Stargazer X is equipped with 17-inch wheels instead of the 16-inch ones found on the current Hyundai Stargazer. As a result, the ground clearance of the Hyundai Stargazer X has been increased to 200 mm, which is 15 mm higher than the Stargazer.
The Korean automaker continues to use the 1.5L 4-cylinder gasoline engine on the Hyundai Stargazer X. This engine helps produce a maximum capacity of 115 horsepower and a maximum torque of 144 Nm. The car uses a CVT gearbox combined with front-wheel drive.

Since its official entry into the affordable MPV segment with the Hyundai Stargazer, sales have yet to become a strong point for the Korean brand’s model. In 2023, the Hyundai Stargazer achieved sales of 3,857 units in the Vietnamese market, ranking above the Toyota Avanza Premio (3,783 units), Kia Carens (3,766 units), Honda BR-V (3,047 units), and Suzuki XL7 with 2,526 units.
In the first month of the year, Hyundai’s small MPV model recorded sales of 75 units, contributing to the consumption of 2,901 Hyundai-branded passenger cars in the Vietnamese market. The appearance of the Hyundai Stargazer X is therefore expected to help boost sales of this car line, while also increasing the competitiveness of the affordable MPV segment in Vietnam, which is currently quite crowded.
