Chevrolet Trailblazer 2025: Revamped from the Inside Out

The Chevrolet Trailblazer ladder-frame SUV also gets similar exterior, interior and platform updates as the recently facelifted Chevrolet S10 (Colorado) pickup truck.

The second-generation Chevrolet Trailblazer was introduced in 2012, riding on the underpinnings of the mid-size Colorado pickup truck, and has received a major update once in 2016. Now, the Trailblazer continues to be sold in Brazil, where Chevrolet has just introduced a series of updates for the 2025 model year. It’s worth noting that this ladder-frame SUV is completely unrelated to the Trailblazer that’s sold in the United States, which is a smaller crossover.

Unsurprisingly, the Brazil-spec Trailblazer also benefits from the styling, interior and chassis upgrades that were introduced on the S10 (Colorado) pickup truck. Sharing the same underpinnings, both models receive a new front fascia that adopts Chevrolet’s current design language.

Apart from the redesigned front bumper, grille, headlights and bonnet, the rest of the body remains largely unchanged. The ageing design of the SUV’s sides and rear end is quite apparent, as the Trailblazer is now 12 years old. Another addition to the facelift is the introduction of a new range-topping “High Country” variant, which brings more generous amounts of chrome accents and features.

Just like the S10, the Trailblazer’s interior has been overhauled with a redesigned dashboard and the latest in-car connectivity tech. There’s now an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, a larger 11-inch touchscreen infotainment display, a new gear lever and wireless charging. Additionally, the seats are now wrapped in two-tone leather in the High Country variant, featuring specific embroidery on the headrests.

Under the bonnet, the 2025 Trailblazer gets the S10’s upgraded 2.8L turbodiesel engine, which now produces a slightly higher 204 PS and 510 Nm of torque. Drive is sent to all four wheels via a new 8-speed automatic transmission. Like the S10 pickup, engineers have also revised the Trailblazer’s suspension and steering column to provide a more refined driving experience, along with new tyres.

Pricing for the 2025 Chevrolet Trailblazer in Brazil hasn’t been announced yet.
