2024 has passed 4 months, but many cars manufactured in 2023 (VIN number 2023) are still in stock at dealerships. To clear inventory, dealers are actively running strong incentive programs. Hyundai dealership is one of them.
Specifically, some Hyundai dealers in the Southern region such as Tien Giang or Binh Thuan are applying a preferential program of up to 80 million VND for the mid-range MPV line, Custin. This incentive is almost equivalent to a 100% reduction in registration fee.
In April 2024, Hyundai Thanh Cong is also applying a promotion for the Custin car line. Accordingly, when buying a car, customers will be able to choose one of 2 special incentive packages exclusively for this model. Package 1 incentives interest rate of installment payment from 0% within 12 months (principal grace period up to 9 months depending on each bank). Package 2 is financial support up to 50% of registration fee
It is not surprising that both the manufacturer and dealers have incentive programs for Hyundai Custin in the context of the Vietnamese automobile market being quite gloomy in the first 3 months of 2024. In March 2024, Hyundai Custin sold 284 vehicles, an increase of 123.6% compared to the previous month, and ranked 6th in the MPV segment in Vietnam. Accumulated in the first 3 months of this year, the Korean car model has achieved sales of 655 vehicles.
Compared to its direct rival, Toyota Innova Cross, Hyundai Custin has better sales. The number of cars sold by Toyota in March 2024 was 231 vehicles, and in the first 3 months of this year was 272 vehicles. Unlike Hyundai Custin, Toyota Innova Cross has been in short supply at dealers recently, so sales have been quite low.

Under the hood of the Hyundai Custin in Vietnam are 2 engine options. The first is a 2.0L Turbo GDi gasoline engine, delivering a maximum capacity of 236 horsepower and a maximum torque of 353 Nm. The second is a 1.5L Turbo GDi engine, producing a maximum capacity of 170 horsepower and a maximum torque of 253 Nm. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and FWD front-wheel drive.
In addition, there are various safety features such as 6 airbags, 360 surround camera, BCA blind spot collision avoidance assist, RCCA rear collision avoidance assist, SEA exit collision warning, automatic adaptive headlights AHB, tire pressure sensor, LFA lane keeping assist, FCA forward collision avoidance, Smart Cruise Control and DAW driver attention warning.
