Renowned for his impressive collection of exotic vehicles, Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu holds the distinction of owning the most esteemed collection of Ferraris, Porsches, and Aston Martins in Vietnam. His vast assemblage comprises several limited-edition models and a substantial number of units. Beyond the two DBX707s he officially acquired, the coffee tycoon’s collection encompasses a range of Aston Martin models, including the DB9 Volante, DB11, Vantage F1 Edition, Vantage 007 Edition, Vanquish, and others.
Recently, the illustrious entrepreneur from Khanh Hoa province added another remarkable specimen, the Aston Martin Vantage, specifically the V8 variant, to his collection. According to sources, the vehicle is valued at approximately 10 billion VND at the present time. Having covered 6,000 kilometers, it was manufactured in 2018 and imported to Vietnam in 2019 via an authorized distributor.
The history of this particular vehicle holds some intriguing revelations, as it was previously owned by renowned automobile enthusiast Pham Tran Nhat Minh (also known as Minh “Nhua”). In 2021, the flamboyant car collector from Ho Chi Minh City reportedly purchased the vehicle for approximately 16 billion VND, only to part ways with it a year later at a price roughly 5 billion VND lower.
Initially, the vehicle was finished in a vibrant Hyper Red exterior. Prior to its acquisition by Minh “Nhua,” the authorized dealership enhanced the vehicle with the AMR (Aston Martin Racing) bodykit package. This upgrade included carbon fiber components such as a rear wing, diffuser, front spoiler, and side skirts, with an estimated cost of 470 million VND.
The V8 Vantage AMR rides on multi-spoke wheels with a diamond-cut finish and a 20-inch diameter. Contrasting yellow brake calipers are a prominent feature within the wheels. Notably, the original exhaust system has been upgraded by the previous owner to a more robust and heat-resistant system from FI Exhaust, which enhances the vehicle’s exhaust note with a more pronounced and authoritative tone.
The vehicle’s interior exudes a distinctly sporty ambiance with its contrasting black and red color scheme. Carbon fiber accents are generously employed throughout the cabin to elevate its aesthetic appeal, adorning the steering wheel, paddle shifters, center console, instrument cluster, air conditioning vents, and other elements.
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage AMR draws its power from a Mercedes-AMG M177 4.0-liter V8 engine. This potent powerplant unleashes 503 horsepower and 685 Nm of torque, which is channeled through an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. Consequently, the vehicle accelerates from 0-100 km/h in a mere 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 314 km/h.
