At the currently ongoing Beijing Auto Show 2024 in China, Lynk & Co – a new automotive brand that entered the Vietnamese market in December 2023 – unveiled its new model dubbed the 07. This model is positioned in the D-segment sedan segment, competing with rivals such as the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord.

Based on the CMA Evo platform, the Lynk & Co 07 has dimensions of 4,827 x 1,900 x 1,480 mm in length, width, and height, respectively, and a wheelbase of 2,843 mm. Compared to its sibling, the 03, which shares the same platform, the newcomer from Lynk & Co is 143 mm longer, while the wheelbase has been increased by 113 mm.

The Lynk & Co 07 has a rather large size.

The Lynk & Co 07 features an unsurprising exterior design. This is because the model incorporates the very distinctive design style of the Lynk & Co brand. The car also has LED daytime running lights with a design consisting of two vertical strips, known as the Aurora Borealis. Meanwhile, the car’s headlights are thin and positioned horizontally below. Between the two headlights is a transparent plastic cover that integrates a front camera for the car’s safety features.

Additional features include a large rectangular central air intake, a box housing various sensors, 19-inch alloy wheels with a five-double-spoke design, two-tone milling, prominent lines on the sides of the car, a unique C-pillar, concealed door handles, and taillights that span the width of the rear end. Furthermore, this D-segment sedan has a small spoiler integrated into the rear trunk lid and multiple high-gloss black exterior details that enhance its visual impact.

The Lynk & Co 07 has slim taillights that stretch across the rear of the car.

Due to its large size, the Lynk & Co 07 offers a fairly spacious interior for passengers. Inside, the model features notable amenities such as premium leather seats, a flat-bottomed steering wheel with integrated function keys, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a 15.4-inch central touchscreen display positioned prominently on the dashboard, and two wireless phone chargers.

Under the hood of the Lynk & Co 07 is a plug-in hybrid powertrain, combining a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine with an electric motor and a 3-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT). The gasoline engine delivers a maximum power of 163 horsepower and a peak torque of 163 horsepower and 255 Nm, respectively. The corresponding figures for the electric motor on the front axle are 218 horsepower and 350 Nm.

In the front-wheel-drive version, the car has a total power output of 381 horsepower and a peak torque of 610 Nm. Meanwhile, the AWD version features an additional 212 horsepower and 290 Nm electric motor at the rear. Therefore, the AWD version of the Lynk & Co 07 has a combined power output of 593 horsepower and a peak torque of 905 Nm. It is fair to say that this model boasts exceptional power in the D-segment sedan segment.

The Lynk & Co 07 has superior engine power compared to its competitors.

The base version of the Lynk & Co 07 will use an 18.99 kWh LFP battery, allowing it to travel 102 km without using the gasoline engine, according to the CLTC test cycle. Meanwhile, the higher-end version is expected to use a larger battery pack, providing a driving range of over 200 km without consuming a drop of gasoline.

The price of the Lynk & Co 07 in the Chinese market has not yet been announced. The possibility of this model being sold in the Vietnamese market in the future is quite low because the D-segment sedan is no longer a popular segment as it used to be.
