2025 Toyota Crown Gains Nightshade Edition, Ups Price

Toyota unveiled the 2025 Crown for the U.S. market, and it brings a notable addition: a Nightshade Edition with a sporty, blacked-out theme. The updated Toyota Crown also sees a price hike, with the base model now starting at $41,440, a $1,390 increase over its predecessor.

Excluding the new Nightshade edition, the 2025 Toyota Crown will be available in the US market in XLE, Limited, and Platinum trims. The Platinum trim remains the range-topper.

Here’s a detailed breakdown of the pricing for the 2025 Toyota Crown in the US:

Based on the Limited trim, the 2025 Toyota Crown Nightshade features dark-tinted badges, black accents on the door handles, mirror caps, shark fin antenna, and 21-inch matte black alloy wheels. This edition is only available in Storm Cloud and Black exterior colors, while the rest of the lineup carries over the predecessor’s color palette.

Despite its dark theme, the Nightshade variant misses out on the two-tone paint option offered on the top-spec Platinum, which gets a blacked-out hood, roof, and trunk lid.

Other than that, all trims come standard with a 12.3-inch dual-screen setup, a heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, and heated and ventilated front seats. While the XLE trim gets a 6-speaker sound system, the rest of the lineup gets upgraded to an 11-speaker JBL Premium audio system.

Stepping into the 2025 model year, the Platinum trim gets a head-up display as standard, along with a hands-free power trunk. Higher trims also receive an advanced ADAS suite compared to the standard Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 package found on other trims.

Powering the 2025 Toyota Crown is the same hybrid powertrain as its predecessor. The XLE, Limited, and Nightshade trims use a 2.5-liter engine with dual electric motors for a combined output of 236 horsepower, paired with an AWD system.

The Platinum trim is the only one to get a more powerful Hybrid MAX powertrain, combining a turbocharged 2.4-liter engine with dual electric motors for a combined output of 340 horsepower.
