The 812 Ferrari of a 9x tycoon is in the hand of Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu, carrying a diplomatic plate

The black Ferrari 812 Superfast, which has been owned by many tycoons in both the South and the North, was unexpectedly bought by Dang Le Nguyen Vu for more than 10 billion VND.

Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu has long been known as a lover of Ferrari models, as he owns dozens of supercars from the Italian Prancing Horse brand at the same time. He even bought multiple units of some models such as the 458 and F12. In addition, the coffee tycoon’s Ferrari collection includes several rare versions in Vietnam such as the 488 Pista, F430 Scuderia, and 458 Speciale.

Recently, the Khanh Hoa-born entrepreneur went on to purchase a black Ferrari 812 Superfast from a young millionaire. According to Autodaily’s research, this supercar is the second 812 to arrive in Vietnam, after the first one painted in red, owned by a Hanoi millionaire. The car was imported by a private company, brought to the country in 2019, and has been owned by many millionaires in both the South and the North.

It is estimated that the Trung Nguyen coffee brand founder had to spend more than VND 10 billion to own this rare “super horse,” as the car bears a Diplomatic Corps license plate instead of a white license plate like many of Mr. Vu’s other supercars. However, the car may soon be fully taxed to carry a white license plate.

The Ferrari 812 Superfast is the successor to the F12 Berlinetta, first introduced to the global market in 2017. The starting price is USD 315,000 (equivalent to about VND 7 billion). When it arrives in Vietnam, the car’s value will increase to nearly VND 30 billion after tax.

Unlike the red 812 Superfast owned by the Hanoi millionaire, which uses a multi-spoke vortex-style rim with red brake calipers, this supercar was fitted by its previous owner with a set of black-painted five-double-spoke alloy wheels and more prominent yellow brake calipers. In addition, the suspension system has also been upgraded to the Novitec type to reduce the car’s height.

The Ferrari 812 SuperFast is equipped with a naturally aspirated V12 engine, with the cylinder capacity increased from 6.3L on the “senior” F12 Berlinetta to 6.5L to produce a maximum power of 789 horsepower and a maximum torque of 718 Nm. As a result, this supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 340 km/h. The car uses a rear-wheel-drive system and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

In addition to the Ferrari 812 Superfast, Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu currently owns several other V12-engine supercars from the Italian Prancing Horse brand, including a Ferrari 599 GTB (one of two in Vietnam) and a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta (three out of five in the country). If he gets white license plates, the coffee tycoon may bring all three V12-powered Ferraris to the Gumball3000 supercar event.
