Cadillac has officially unveiled the Optiq in China. Positioned below the Lyriq, the vehicle will serve as Cadillac’s most affordable electric crossover.
The exterior of the 2025 Cadillac Optiq is highlighted by a crystal grille illuminated by 114 LED lights. It is flanked by vertical headlights. Furthermore, the car features rain-sensing wipers, flush door handles, and a panoramic glass roof. An electric tailgate is also present, while the top-spec variant gets a black roof.
Dimension-wise, the car measures 4,822 mm in length, 1,912 mm in width, and 1,644 mm in height with a 2,954 mm wheelbase. Compared to the Lyriq, it is 178 mm shorter and has a 140 mm shorter wheelbase.
Moving inside, the Optiq shares its 33-inch curved display with the Cadillac Lyriq. Buyers will also get a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel as well as heated and ventilated leather front seats.
Other highlights include dual-zone automatic climate control, a 126-color ambient lighting system, and an AKG sound system. Wireless phone charging and a digital rearview mirror are also available.
Two different powertrains are offered, with the standard variant getting a 68.4 kWh battery pack that provides a maximum range of 536 km on a single charge. A front-mounted motor delivers 241 hp and 330 Nm of torque. With this setup, the crossover can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7 seconds before reaching a top speed of 180 km/h.
A larger 79.7 kWh battery pack is also available, allowing the car to travel 600 km on a single charge. Along with the larger battery pack, this variant also gets a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system that produces 283 hp and 465 Nm of torque. Thanks to the added power and traction, the car can accelerate to 100 km/h in just under six seconds.
With a fast charger, the 2025 Cadillac Optiq can charge from 20% to 80% in just 33 minutes. Meanwhile, a 7.2 kW home charger can fully charge the battery in 10.8 hours for the standard variant and 12.8 hours for the long-range variant.
Buyers will also get a suite of standard driver assistance systems including adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and forward collision warning. These are joined by automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and traffic sign recognition. The top-spec variant gets the Super Cruise system as well as a head-up display.
In China, the 2025 Cadillac Optiq is priced between USD 33,110 – 37,254.
