Although a rival to the Rolls-Royce Phantom, the Bentley Mulsanne is less popular in Vietnam. Also, the Phantom has many limited editions brought to our country such as Phantom of Dragon, Tranquility, Spirit of Ecstasy… or unique editions like Lửa Thiêng, Hòa Bình Vinh Quang, and Mặt Trời Phương Đông.
Conversely, the number of limited edition Mulsanne is very small. For example, there is only one Bentley Mulsanne Le Mans Edition in Vietnam. This car model saw a limited production of 48 units worldwide, and it was born in 2013 to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the first time the British automaker participated in the Le Mans 24h race (in 1923).
As shared by the business unit, the car is from 2013, has driven more than 59,000 km, and is currently on sale for around 9 billion VND. At the time of purchase, the car cost only about 24 billion VND because it arrived in Vietnam before the new import tax policy was applied (in 2016).
Originally, the car had a blue exterior. However, the previous owner of the car changed it to glossy black to enhance its luxurious appearance. This is also a popular color on many Bentley models in particular and luxury cars in general.
After a long time of use, the exterior generally still retains a certain level of newness compared to some cars of the same year because it was carefully maintained. Many chrome-plated details such as the grille, logo, side body trim, rear bumper trim, door trim, taillight trim, etc., are still shiny.
Initially, the Bentley Mulsanne Le Mans version used a 5-spoke flower-shaped wheel, a rather unique design, but now that wheel has been changed to a 5-spoke single-chrome type with a size of 21 inches, contributing to enhancing the luxurious and balanced appearance for the super luxury sedan. This type of wheel appears on many Mulsanne models in our country.
Developed by the Mulliner personalization department of the British luxury car brand, the side gills not only have a chrome finish but also bear the words “Mulliner” to mark this special version.
The interior space of the Bentley Mulsanne Le Mans Edition is a combination of dominant black and accents of white stitching, dark brown natural wood trim. The center console has a familiar design, with three analog clocks enhancing the classic look. Above is a screen that can be opened/closed with a button when needed.
Some basic equipment on the car include a premium Naim sound system with 14 speakers, a sunroof for the front seats, an infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, and more.
Even after 11 years of use, the car’s leather seats are still quite new, with not many wrinkles. The back seat has 2 seats, separated by an armrest integrated with a button control system for seat functions and air conditioning. This armrest can be opened/closed manually, and inside is a mini-fridge for storing wine.
On the back of the front seats are two wooden picnic tables. The headrests have two screens to meet the entertainment needs of the rear passengers.
This Bentley Mulsanne Le Mans Edition is number 22 out of 48. This serial number is also recorded by the manufacturer on a metal plate placed on the center console.
Besides, the door sills and headrests on all 4 seats feature the “Le Mans Edition” logo to mark the limited edition.
