A notable change on the Kia EV6 facelift is the new lighting system layout at the front and rear. Specifically, Kia has applied a new ‘Star Map Signature Lighting’ LED daytime running light design to the EV6, creating a more dynamic and futuristic feel.
At the rear, the taillight cluster continues to use a full-width rear layout but has revised lighting graphics.
The Korean automaker has yet to reveal much about the Kia EV6 facelift’s specifications, but the upcoming update is said to include updates to both the electric powertrain and battery pack to keep it competitive with other electric vehicles in the segment.
Inside, the EV6 Facelift could feature the EV9’s three-screen dashboard, which is also found on the smaller EV5 compact SUV. We can also expect a redesigned steering wheel and new upholstery options, along with more robust driver assistance and connectivity features.
Launched in August 2021, the EV6 was the first electric vehicle to be developed on the Hyundai Motor Group’s dedicated E-GMP electric-only platform.
Shortly after its debut, the EV6 won the 2022 European Car of the Year award, thanks to its striking design and impressive driving dynamics. This was followed by the 2023 North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year awards, among other accolades.
