THACO, the distributor, has announced new discounted prices for Peugeot models, following similar moves by Mazda and Kia. Effective May 10, 2024, all Peugeot models will see price reductions of tens of millions of VND.
Specifically, the Peugeot 2008 now starts at 699 million VND for the Active trim and 758 million VND for the GT-Line trim. With a price range of 699–758 million VND, the Peugeot 2008 is more expensive than some competitors in the same segment, such as the Hyundai Creta (599–699 million VND) and the Mitsubishi Xforce (599–680 million VND). However, it is still more affordable than the Honda HR-V and Toyota Corolla Cross.
Next up is the Peugeot 3008, priced at 906 million VND for the Allure trim, 995 million VND for the Premium trim, and 1.097 billion VND for the GT trim. Compared to rivals in the same segment, such as the Mazda CX-5, Hyundai Tucson, and Ford Territory, this French SUV does not have a competitive pricing advantage.
The mid-size SUV Peugeot 5008 has had its price reduced to 1.097 billion VND for the Allure trim and 1.197 billion VND for the GT trim. This model competes with the Hyundai Santa Fe, Mazda CX-8, and Kia Sorento.
The Peugeot 408 SUV-Coupe crossover is the only model that has not received a discounted price. It still ranges from 1.019 to 1.269 billion VND across its three trims. The large MPV Peugeot Traveller also maintains its price of 1.589 billion VND for the Premium 7-seater version.

Peugeot is a well-known French car brand offering affordable models. However, in Vietnam, Peugeot vehicles are priced higher than their Korean and Japanese competitors, which has impacted their sales performance in the local market.
In April 2024, Peugeot sold 109 units in Vietnam. From the beginning of 2024 until now, a total of 210 Peugeot vehicles have been sold to Vietnamese customers.
Peugeot cars are popular in Vietnam for their modern and unique designs, as well as their impressive interiors that feel more sporty and luxurious than competitors in the same segment.
