According to Honda Vietnam’s announcement, only three of their models are included in the official promotion program for June 2024: the CR-V, City, and Accord. Meanwhile, the Honda Civic, HR-V, and BR-V trio are excluded from this month’s promotions.

While the CR-V and City enjoy a 50% discount on registration fees, the Honda Accord continues to offer a cash support program of 220 million VND, similar to the previous month. As a result, the selling price of this D-segment sedan is reduced to 1.099 billion VND. The promotion program by Honda Vietnam is applicable to customers who sign a car purchase contract and complete the full payment procedure from June 6 to June 30, 2024.

This is the third consecutive month that the Honda Accord has received a 220 million VND cash gift from the company. However, this incentive program has not significantly improved the sales performance of Honda’s D-segment sedan.

In April 2024, Honda sold only five Accord units in Vietnam, a 54.5% decrease compared to the previous month. From the beginning of the year until now, this sedan has only reached a sales volume of 36 vehicles. With these results, the Honda Accord is one of the worst-selling cars in the Vietnamese market.

There are several reasons for the low sales of the Honda Accord in Vietnam. One factor is the high price, reaching 1.319 billion VND. Additionally, the Honda Accord is only available in one trim level, offering limited choices to customers. The decline of the D-segment sedan market in Vietnam over time has also impacted the sales of this model.

The Honda Accord is renowned for its spacious interior and highly-rated driving experience within its segment. This model is equipped with a 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engine that produces a maximum output of 188 horsepower and a peak torque of 260 Nm. The engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and offers two driving modes: Eco and Sport.

Furthermore, the car is packed with advanced safety features such as collision mitigation braking, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, automatic high-beam headlights, lane departure mitigation, and lane-keeping assist.
