Get Ready for the GAC M8 – The Ultimate Luxury MPV Experience

The highly anticipated GAC M8, also known as the “Lexus LM of China”, is expected to make its debut in Vietnam soon. This luxurious MPV sets a new standard for the segment, offering a perfect blend of opulence and innovation.

Unveiled at the Chengdu Auto Show 2022, the GAC M8 is the second generation of the GN8. This stylish minivan has drawn comparisons to the Toyota Alphard and even the Lexus LM due to its striking resemblance.

With dimensions of 5,212 x 1,890 x 1,823 mm and a wheelbase of 3,070 mm, the GAC M8 has a longer wheelbase than both the Lexus LM and Toyota Alphard. However, its height is noticeably lower, which may give passengers a slightly confined feeling in terms of headroom.

In terms of design, the GAC M8 takes inspiration from the Lexus LM, featuring a large grille and distinctive spiderweb-style mesh pattern. The L-shaped headlights, on the other hand, resemble those found on Peugeot models. Chrome accents, matrix LED lighting technology, and a sleek profile complete the elegant exterior.

Step inside the GAC M8, and you’ll be greeted by a luxurious and tech-filled cabin. The dashboard boasts a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch infotainment screen on the GX trim, or a 10.1-inch screen on the GL trim, both supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other highlights include an eight-speaker audio system, tri-zone climate control, wireless charging, and a fragrance diffusion system on the GX Master trim.

The interior is configured in a 2-2-3 layout, with the middle row featuring two business-class seats. These seats offer a range of adjustments, including heating, cooling, and massage functions. The GX trim also includes a storage compartment in the second row, one-touch buttons to slide the passenger seat forward, memory functions, sunshades, and a panoramic sunroof.

When it comes to performance, the GAC M8 is offered in China with a choice of gasoline, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine produces 252 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

With its impressive features and amenities, the GAC M8 is poised to revolutionize the MPV segment, offering a unique blend of luxury, technology, and performance.
