The Sollei concept car, developed from the Celestiq, exudes sophistication and luxury with its elegant design and lavish interior that showcases a range of premium materials.

Once hailed as one of the world’s leading luxury car brands, Cadillac’s stature began to wane in the early 2000s when its vehicles shared many components with General Motors’ mainstream models. In recent years, Cadillac has regained its reputation with the introduction of new models, including the handcrafted electric coupe, Celestiq. Now, the American luxury carmaker has unveiled the Sollei concept – a refined and elegant two-door convertible with design cues borrowed from the Celestiq.

The Sollei concept features a striking black crystal shield grille complemented by vertically oriented headlights. Its doors open at a near-90° angle for easier access to the rear seats, and instead of conventional door handles, it boasts seamlessly integrated push-buttons on the door edges.

The entire exterior of the Sollei is hand-painted in Manila Cream, a color first introduced on Cadillac vehicles in 1957. It rides on massive 23-inch wheels with a bright silver finish, while other metallic details, such as the windshield trim, are painted in rose gold.

At the rear, the taillights span the entire width of the car in a sleek, horizontal design. The rear bumper also features an additional “L”-shaped light element.

The Sollei’s interior is a showcase of the finest handcrafted materials. The dashboard features a massive 55-inch display that includes the instrument cluster, central infotainment screen, and a passenger-side display. Below this is another screen for controlling various vehicle settings. The wood trim is crafted from five different types of veneer, carefully cut and placed by hand. The seats are upholstered in Fine Nappa leather with a unique finish that turns rose gold when exposed to light, creating a sunrise color effect.

Sollei is the first Cadillac to use a biological material called Mycelium, a natural fungus-based product. The interior also features boucle fabric, providing a subtle sense of warmth while maintaining a lightweight construction.

Additionally, the Sollei impresses with its integrated mini-fridge in the rear armrest. Inside, you’ll find a set of crystal glasses and a decanter featuring exclusive patterns.

Cadillac also provides a leather-bound journal with hand-drawn illustrations and a leather tool bag. The company’s leaders say they’ve carefully studied their customers’ preferences to ensure the cabin is equipped with everything they desire.

While Cadillac has not released performance specifications for the Sollei, it is likely to share the same powertrain as the Celestiq. This includes a configuration of two electric motors producing 600 horsepower and 867 Nm of torque, paired with an 111 kWh battery pack. This setup enables a 0-60 mph sprint in 3.8 seconds and an estimated range of 300 miles on a single charge.
