Spotlight Automotive, a joint venture between BMW and Great Wall Motor (GWM), has unveiled the all-electric Mini Cooper in China.

The car is offered in five variants: Cooper E Big Player, Cooper E Classic, Cooper SE Artist, Cooper SE Racer, and Cooper SE 1/65 Limited Edition. Pricing starts at 189,800 RMB and goes up to 266,800 RMB (approximately $27,350 to $38,400).

Mini Cooper EV has dimensions of 3,858 x 1,756 x 1,458 mm (length x width x height). Compared to the internal combustion engine version, the electric Mini Cooper is slightly shorter but wider and taller.

In terms of design, the Mini Cooper EV stands out with its youthful yellow paint. It retains the classic Mini design language with a three-door, four-seat configuration, offering a familiar yet refreshing experience.

The Mini Cooper E Classic features 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, while the Artist and Racer versions are fitted with 18-inch wheels for a sportier look.

The interior of the Mini Cooper EV boasts a minimalist yet modern design. It features a 240 mm round central display running the Mini 9 operating system, integrating advanced features such as personal voice assistant, navigation, and games.

The car also comes with ambient lighting, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, heated steering wheel, parking assist, and cruise control.

Higher-end versions, including Artist, Edition, and Racer, offer additional features such as power-adjustable seats, adaptive headlights, an in-cabin camera, heated front seats with a massage function for the driver, heated and electrically foldable side mirrors, and keyless entry.

Mini Cooper EV is available with two electric motor configurations. The Mini Cooper E variants are powered by a 181-horsepower motor with 290 Nm of torque, paired with a 40.7 kWh lithium-ion battery. This setup delivers a range of 456 km on a single charge (based on the CLTC standard) and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.3 seconds.

The higher-spec Mini Cooper SE Artist, SE Racer, and SE 1/65 Limited Edition models feature a more powerful 215-horsepower motor with 330 Nm of torque and a larger 54.2 kWh battery.

These versions offer a slightly lower range of 452 km but improve acceleration, reaching 0-100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds. They also support DC fast charging, allowing a charge from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes.
