BMW has recently unveiled its latest offering in the electric vehicle market with the introduction of the BMW i5 M60 xDrive in Malaysia. As the highest trim level of the i5 sedan range, this model boasts an impressive set of specifications and features.

Under the hood, the i5 M60 xDrive is equipped with two electric motors, one on each axle, delivering a combined output of 601 horsepower and 795 Nm of torque. With the M Sport Boost or M Launch Control engaged, the torque increases to a staggering 820 Nm, propelling the car from 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and reaching a top speed of 230 km/h.

Powering this electric sedan is an 83.9 kWh battery pack, offering a generous range of up to 455-516 km on a single charge, based on the WLTP test cycle. The i5 M60 xDrive supports fast DC charging, allowing the battery to charge up to 80% in just 34 minutes, or providing an additional 156 km of range with just a 10-minute charge. For those charging at home, a full charge can be achieved in 4 hours and 15 minutes using a standard household outlet.

In terms of styling, the i5 M60 xDrive stands out with its M Sport Pro body kit, featuring blacked-out grille and mirror caps, M Shadow Line adaptive LED headlights, dark tail lights, and a rear spoiler. The exterior is further enhanced by the 21-inch two-tone BMW Personal 954 alloy wheels, complemented by M Sport brakes with red calipers.

The interior of the i5 M60 xDrive is just as impressive, featuring a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. The cabin is filled with sound from the 18-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system, delivering an immersive audio experience with 655 watts of power.

When it comes to safety, the i5 M60 xDrive is packed with advanced driver-assistance systems, including the Driving Assistant Professional package. This suite of technologies includes automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, lane-keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring with collision prevention, front and rear cross-traffic alert, automatic parking assist, and a remote 3D view feature.

With a starting price of 478,800 RM in Malaysia, the BMW i5 M60 xDrive offers a compelling package of performance, luxury, and cutting-edge technology, setting a new benchmark in the electric sedan segment.
