The all-new Ferrari 12Cilindri: A Global Sensation Now in Asia
Ferrari 12Cilindri, the latest addition to the brand’s lineup, has officially arrived in Asia following its global debut in May. The 12Cilindri is offered in two variants: a coupe and a convertible.
The 12Cilindri unveiled in South Korea sports a stunning exterior in Classic Celeste Trevi. In Italian, “Celeste” translates to “sky blue” or “heaven,” while “Trevi” refers to the famous fountain in Rome.
The front of the car takes inspiration from the legendary 365 GTB/4 Daytona, featuring sharp-looking headlights and daytime running lights with a black stripe in between.
At the rear, the taillights, and spoiler bear a resemblance to the Ferrari Roma. The 12Cilindri rides on standard 21-inch five-spoke wheels in Grigio Corsa matte gray, paired with Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tires, black Brembo brake calipers, and carbon-ceramic brake discs.
Like recent Ferrari models, the 12Cilindri boasts a modern cabin with a 10.25-inch central display alongside a larger 15.6-inch digital instrument cluster. Additionally, it features an exclusive 8.8-inch entertainment screen for the front passenger.
As an option, Ferrari offers a premium 15-speaker Burmester sound system for this model. The controversial touch-capacitive button array on the steering wheel, first seen on the 296, is also present on the 12Cilindri. However, it has been slightly redesigned with a more recessed center for improved usability.
Positioned as a high-end grand tourer, the 12Cilindri offers a generous 270 liters of cargo space. This capacity reduces to 200 liters in the 12Cilindri Spider convertible variant.
Powering the Ferrari 12Cilindri is a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that produces a staggering 819 horsepower at 9,250 rpm and 678 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm. This engine is mated to an 8-speed DCT transmission and a rear-wheel-drive system.
According to Ferrari, the 12Cilindri Coupe can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and reach 200 km/h in 7.9 seconds. The Spider convertible is marginally slower, achieving the same feats in 2.95 and 8.2 seconds, respectively. Both variants have an electronically limited top speed of 340 km/h.
Pricing for the South Korean market has not yet been disclosed. In Italy, the Ferrari 12Cilindri is priced at 395,000 euros (approximately 10.78 billion VNĐ) for the coupe and 435,000 euros (around 11.87 billion VNĐ) for the convertible.
