Hyundai is set to launch the new-generation Santa Fe in Vietnam this September, according to several dealerships.

Last week, the vehicle was spotted at an emission testing center in Hanoi.

The Hyundai Santa Fe will reportedly be offered in three or four variants in Vietnam. It is likely to feature two engine options: a 2.5L gasoline engine and a 1.6L hybrid engine.

Dealers predict a price range of approximately 1.4 billion VND for the high-end version and 1.1 billion VND for the hybrid model. Some dealerships are currently offering discounts of up to 50-100 million VND on older models to clear inventory for the new version. As a result, the current Santa Fe prices range from 979 million to 1.269 billion VND.

The Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 made its global debut in August 2023, impressing with its bold, square-shaped design, a significant departure from its predecessor. It boasts larger dimensions: 4,830 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,720 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,815 mm. Compared to the previous model, the new Santa Fe has a 45 mm wider and 20 mm taller frame, and a 50 mm longer wheelbase, resulting in increased cargo capacity from 634 liters to 725 liters (with the third-row seats folded).

The front of the 2024 Santa Fe stands out with its distinctive H-shaped daytime running lights. The grille below also forms an H-shape, reminiscent of the Hyundai logo. In this generation, the Santa Fe’s logo has been moved from the grille to the hood. Additionally, it features a horizontal light bar that runs parallel to the hood line.

The rear of the vehicle continues the H-shaped theme with its taillights, although the design is simpler compared to the front.

From the side, the Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 showcases a muscular and sporty profile with its flared wheel arches and square-shaped design.

The interior of the Santa Fe 2024 exudes simplicity, elegance, and modernity. A highlight of the cabin is the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen, which are housed under a gently curved glass panel that angles towards the driver. The Santa Fe 2024 is among the first Hyundai models to feature the brand’s latest “ccNC” infotainment system.

Additionally, it boasts a host of modern amenities, including wireless phone charging, multi-zone automatic climate control with rear air vents mounted on the ceiling, a dual-pane sunroof, power-adjustable front seats, and a massage function for the driver’s seat.

In the Southeast Asian market, specifically in the Philippines, the Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 is offered with two engine options.

The first is a 2.5L Theta III turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 281 horsepower and 422 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a full-time HTRAC all-wheel-drive system, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8 seconds and reach a top speed of 210 km/h.

The second option is a 1.6T GDI HEV hybrid powertrain, which combines a 1.6L turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine with an electric motor and a 6-speed automatic transmission. This setup delivers a combined output of 230 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, allowing the SUV to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 9.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 190 km/h.
